The starting pitcher for the Beavers, John Smallz, was injured while pitching to Ricky Hitter in last seasons game against the Miami Nails. He got hit directly in the head after pitching to Ricky. John got a serious concussion and is now in recovery.

We will be strictly following state and CDC guidelines to help protect players and staff from coming into contact with the coronavirus. Safety is our #1 priority especially this year. We will help each other navigate through these rough times and come together stronger!

The Beavers have been setting up food bins all across the city to help bring in food for the local food banks so that people don't have to worry about meals this season. In the first week of the bins being set up the team had gathered over 1 ton worth of food donations.
